Hampton Inn Monterey

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Every interaction, from main desk to housekeeping, was pleasant. Room was very clean. Pretty flowers and landscaping. Nice garage/parking area. Beds were ok although a bit hard and could definitely use updating. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Heard a fair amount of noise from nearby rooms but not enough to interrupt my rest. I felt safe here. Free breakfast is available.

Stayed here for two nights and was quite pleasant. Would have been a five-star rating but there was an odd situation where the room wasnt tidied up/ready when we checked in at 4pm (check-in is supposed to be as early as 3pm), despite us making a reservation well in advance and selecting the specific room the night before. Room itself was more spacious than what we are accustomed to having stayed in other Hampton Inn locations so that was a plus. Convenient location with a Costco, Target, McDonalds, In-n-Out Burger, Starbucks, and other known shops & restaurants

Had a great experience at this hotel. The check-in was warm and pleasant. It’s an older property but is well maintained. The room was clean and had plenty of towels so you don’t have to request additional after a long day of driving. It’s centrally located to Cannery Row, Ocean Avenue and other popular attractions. Will book again.

Standard hilton hampton inn. However they need to work on putting liquid hand soap and not soap bar as it gets gross. I would appreciate more vegetarian items in the "hot" section of breakfast.

Just spent 5 nights here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a relaxing, quiet stay here. Patricia at the front desk was very sweet and accommodating - providing us with all the things we needed and requested. She truly went over and beyond and it was greatly appreciated. The breakfast food was warm and adequate. Only about 10 min from all the downtown activities too. All around, the staff and stay was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Love the water bottle refill station. It tastes sweet tho. Their rooms are big and i love the moving ottomans. Many places to put luggages. There is an In-N-Out very near(walkable distance) to eat at, even though its crowded. Their breakfast is questionable. They only have 2 sets that they rotate daily so 1st day was: Potatos, sausages and western style omlettes. 2nd day was potatos, pork sausages, and scrambled eggs. Then it loops. I think i ate too many sausages and scrambled eggs. They also have a waffle cooker and oatmeal. They have a juice machine with 3 types of juice and cold water. But if i was to make a song about this machine is: "All I want for christmas is PROPER CAPITALIZATION OF THE LETTERS ON THE MACHINE" but overall good hotel.

Rooms were clean and decent size. We asked for a crib and my baby refused to sleep in it because the “mattress” was literally a piece of hard plastic with no padding (pack n play off brand). Had to buy a graco pack n play and ending up leaving it there so hopefully the next family doesn’t have that issue. Breakfast was typical for hotels so we weren’t interested. Good location—quick drive to most spots without being in the crowded areas.

This is a very nice Hampton Inn. It's very well kept (clean spaces, nice foliage outside, updated decor). The location is very convenient to downtown Monterey without being on top of it. Parking is easy and convenient. Breakfast is simple but a good deal for what you pay. The staff is very professional, attentive and friendly.
